We all love travel. There is no disputing that fact. However, recent findings suggest we enjoy this endeavor in very different ways.

That is the latest from travel website Hipmunk, which unveiled its recent study that suggests that one generation over all others enjoys and expects technology as their guide amid their respective travels.

What follows is a nifty infographic Hipmunk released to better condense its voluminous findings.

However, for a deeper dive, you can dig through its data in a press release offered this week.

Now there is one quote we thought needed some highlighting from the report: "When they do hit the road, millennials see themselves as explorers, not tourists."

It sounds simple but it speaks volumes.

We are decades removed from being completely befuddled the minute we touch down in a new destination.

Sure, there is the momentary anxiety and fear of being in a new place. But we are closer to being technological pioneers; armed with GPS, translators, travel guides and social media gurus all in our pocket in the form of our smartphone.

It just so happens there is one generation that is heavily reliant on that fact.

One nice tidbit for you travel professionals in the audience is the fact that millennial corporate travelers are not keen to waste an opportunity.

The press release states: "81 percent will probably add extra time to a business trip (compared to 56 percent and 46 percent of Gen Xers and boomers respectively)."

As you will find, not only is the younger generation more dependent on things like smartphones, Wi-Fi and innovations like Airbnb, but they are also aware that there is something rather special about being sent away on business.

It's not only a chance to meet new people and network. It's the perfect time to experience a new town, which is lost on so many who fly back the minute business is concluded.

And with that, we give you an infographic that offers the tale of the tape among generations.
