Travelers are responding to Globus Family of Brands' reinvented Italy itineraries.
As part of its 90th anniversary, the tour operator reshaped its Italian vacations highlighting the country's undiscovered experiences with four new off-the-beaten-piazza tours and nine tours in total, featuring lesser-known destinations.
Travelers are eating up the new experiences according to Globus Family of Brands president and CEO Scott Nisbet.
"Italy sales are up 42 percent for 2018," said Nisbet, adding that at least half of that success can be attributed to bookings on the company's new Globus and Cosmos tours.
Agents are also excited about the new product.
Vanessa Parrish, channel marketing manager for the Globus family of brands, noted that the company's "Undiscovered Italy" webinar for agents was "the most attended touring Webinar in the company's history."
"From the lemon-scented streets of Sorrento to the olive oil-rich region of Apulia; the sparkling seas and rugged mountains of Sicily to the rolling hills and flowing wines of Tuscany, there's so much to discover in Italy," said Parrish. "It's been wonderful to see agents and their clients respond to our new vacations in such a big, positive way."
Right now, travelers looking to head to Italy have an added bonus. Globus is offering a deal on Europe travel, including the new Undiscovered Italy vacations.
Clients can save 10 percent on Globus 2019 Europe tours in addition to receiving a $300 per couple air-credit on Delta for air-inclusive Italy vacations.
