Princess Cruises has just announced that 2025 will see the line launch its longest-ever voyage: a 116-day World Cruise that will sail over 33,500 nautical miles, while wending its way through 51 destinations in 26 countries that span six of the Earth’s continents.

This once-in-a-lifetime itinerary will play out aboard the Coral-class vessel Island Princess, a floating retreat with a 2,200-passenger, 900-crew capacity. Guests on this epic sailing will be whisked away to Australia and New Zealand, the South Pacific, the Mediterranean, Central America, Africa, Asia and beyond.

Two roundtrip departure options are available for embarkation on either side of the country. The 2025 World Cruise will set out from Fort Lauderdale on January 5, but guests can also opt to hop aboard in Los Angeles on January 20 for a slightly abbreviated, 101-day sailing.

"We're highly regarded for our World Cruises and our 2025 voyage promises to be one for the ages as our longest adventure ever offered," John Padgett, the line's president, said in the release. "Our expert itinerary planners have assembled an unmatched combination of popular ports and off-the-beaten-path locales for a global journey not found anywhere else."

The 2025 round-the-world trip will include some firsts for Princess Cruises, such as inaugural port calls in Bar, Montenegro and Taranto, Italy, and at Volos and Patmos, Greece. Altogether, the World Cruise will give guests access to 27 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and see the cruise line return to Alexandria for historic Cairo and the pyramids and ancient treasures of Giza. Other itinerary highlights will include the Singapore Botanical Gardens, the Old City of Dubrovnik, The Ancient Greek City of Ephesus (from Kusadasi), and The Monastery of St. John and the Cave of the Apocalypse (from Patmos).

This one-of-a-kind journey is now open for booking by ambitious travelers who can dedicate three-and-a-half months to touring almost the entire planet, stopping a myriad of marquee and hidden-gem ports along the way.

Pricing on the roundtrip voyage from Fort Lauderdale starts at $20,539 for an interior cabin, while the itinerary out of Los Angeles starts at $19,999 per person, both based on double occupancy, and excluding various taxes, fees and port expenses. Portions of the epic circumnavigational voyage’s overall itinerary are also available to book as standalone segments.

Early booking benefits are available for guests who secure their place on the 2025 World Cruise by May 31, 2023. These include perks like first-class or economy airfare, $500 in spending credits, the enhanced Princess Plus onboard package, specialty dining access and more.
