As the summer travel season begins to heat up, officials
from the Walt
Disney World Resort announced the return of Disney’s H2O Glow After Hours
event at the Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.
The H2O Glow After Hours event features vibrant decor, a
groovy DJ dance floor, Disney character appearances and thrilling water
attractions under the stars.
The nighttime event runs through September 2 and allows
families to enjoy a luminous tropical oasis three hours after the Typhoon
Lagoon Water Park closes to guests with day passes.
The H2O Glow After Hours begins at 8 p.m. local time and
runs until 11 p.m., with gates opening as early as 6 p.m. The event acts as the
ideal nightcap for families visiting Disney World this summer.
The event is limited-capacity and separately ticketed, which
does not require an additional day’s water park ticket or Disney Park Pass
reservation. Tickets for the after-hours party can be purchased through Disney
World’s official
website.
For those looking to book ahead to fall nighttime events at
Disney World, the theme park company announced last month that Mickey’s
Not-So-Scary Halloween Party would return on August 11 and run on select dates
through November 1.
The nighttime events start at 7 p.m. ET and are
limited-capacity, providing visitors with shorter wait times on attractions and
themed food and beverage offerings. Tickets go on sale to travelers staying at
select Disney World hotels on April 27 and to the general public on May 2.
