Get Ready to Rock n' Roll or Jazz It Up With These Music Festivals

1/12
Music festivals are some of the year's best-loved and most popular events, welcoming millions to listen to all genres of music before the pandemic. This year is sure to be a great year for music festivals across the nation, with pent-up demand and easier entry requirements after two years of adapting to the pandemic. While it's likely some of these music festivals' dates, performers and methods of entry will be changed before they are held during their respective dates, it's unlikely they'll be canceled outright.

If you're planning on making 2022 the year of being more present, listening to more music and expanding your musical horizons, check out some of these festivals, like Milwaukee's Summerfest, the world's largest music festival, or New Orlean's Jazzfest, where you'll listen to some of the best jazz music in the world.

Coachella, California

2/12
Coachella is the year's trendiest and most exclusive music festival. Held each year in Palm Springs, California, this year it will be held on two weekends in April, the 15th-17th and the 22nd-24th. Guests can join the waitlist to see if they're lucky enough to get tickets to the incredibly star-studded event. This year, performers will include Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat and many more.

When We Were Young Fest, Las Vegas

3/12
Las Vegas' When We Were Young Festival will be held October 22-23 this year at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. One of the biggest rock festivals on this list, it will feature performers like Avril Lavigne, My Chemical Romance, The All American Rejects, Jimmy Eat World and many more! Tickets are currently sold out, but guests who want to try their luck can join the festival's waitlist to snag a ticket.

Lollapalooza, Chicago

4/12
Perhaps Chicago's most recognizable festival, Lollapalooza will be coming back July 28-31, 2022 in Grant Park. While this year's lineup hasn't been unveiled yet, 2021's welcomed big performers like Miley Cyrus, Marshmello, Journey, Post Malone, Foo Fighters and many others back when large events were just beginning to be held again. This year, it's likely that Chicago's largest music festival will feature plenty of popular performers again, too. Future festival guests can sign up for notifications about the performers and when tickets become available on the festival's website.

Summerfest, Milwaukee

5/12
Considered the world's largest music festival, Milwaukee's Summerfest was postponed and held in September last year. This year, it plans on being held during its regular summer months. Held June 23-25, June 30-July 2 and July 7-9, it offers greater flexibility for people driving or flying in for the festival. Headliners for the year include Gabby Barrett, Justin Bieber and Jason Aldean. With over 1,000 performances and over 800 acts, it'll be hard not to find a performance you love at Summerfest!
