Recognizing Greatness

Often referred to as the Academy Awards of the travel industry, the Travvys returned to New York City for the sixth consecutive year on February 12, 2020. Leading suppliers, destinations, technology providers, attractions and more were honored in a plethora of categories after being selected by those who know them best, travel advisors.

An Iconic Venue

New York City's famous Gotham Hall once again played host to the Travvy Awards in 2020, providing the perfect setting for yet another memorable awards gala.

Stars of the Travel Industry

Just like in years past, the travel industry was well-represented at the 2020 Travvy Awards.

The festivities kicked off with a special cocktail hour where attendees had the chance to network and get to know each other a little bit better.

There were plenty of awards to hand out so Travvys guests fueled up for the big night with a delicious dinner that included beef short rib and mashed potatoes.

AmaWaterways Wins Big

AmaWaterways was one of the night's big winners, taking home Gold for Best River Cruise Line in Africa/Egypt, Asia, Europe and Overall. The company also won Gold for Best River Cruise Ship.

Railbookers Strikes Gold

The team from Railbookers was excited to show off their snazzy attire after securing the Gold Travvy for Best Rail Experience Worldwide.

Enterprise Cleans Up

2020 was another dominant year for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, which won a handful of Travvys, including Best Car Rentals Overall and Best Luxury/Exotic Fleet.

The Entertainment

World-class violinist Damien Escobar provided the night's entertainment, bringing the house down with a special performance.

ShoreTrips is All Smiles

ShoreTrips fared extremely well in the tour operator category, winning Gold for Best Shore Excursions and Best Tour Reservation Team.

Elite Travel Excels

Tammy Levent, Founder of Elite Travel, was on hand to accept the Gold Travvy for Best Travel Agent Training Program (TASK) and the Silver Travvy for Best Retail Travel Agency.

Allianz Adds to its Trophy Case

Allianz Global Assistance wasn't only a sponsor but a big winner on Travvy night, claiming Gold for Best Travel Insurance Provider Overall, edging out Silver winner AIG Travel.

Sustainability All-Stars

The Palladium Hotel Group has emphasized sustainability for years and was deservedly recognized for its efforts with a special award at the 2020 Travvy Awards.

Executive of the Year

Playa Hotels & Resorts' Kevin Froemming also received a special honor as he was named the Travvy Executive of the Year.

Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara Continue to Impress

Froemming was also pleased to join in the success of Playa's Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara brands, which earned multiple awards, including Silver for Best All-Inclusive Hotel Chain and Gold for Best All-Inclusive Overall (Hyatt Ziva Cancun).

Royal Caribbean Dominates

Royal Caribbean International certainly left its mark on the 2020 Travvy Awards, claiming more than a dozen trophies, including Gold for Best Cruise Line Overall, Best Contemporary Cruise Line and Best Family Cruise Line.

Jamaica Tourism Shines Bright

Jamaica picked up multiple victories, including Silver for Best Destination Overall. Meanwhile, the Jamaica Tourist Board won Gold for Best Tourism Board in the Caribbean/Bahamas and Best Tourism Board Overall.
