American
Airlines has announced the addition of 23,000 airline seats for football
fans to watch their favorite teams play this season.
The expanded flights cover more than 80 routes, spanning
both professional and college games.
“American knows fans have been eager to see when their
favorite teams hit the road, which is why we’re rolling out a full slate
of flights to help plan fall travel,” said American’s Managing Director of
Global Network Planning Jason Reisinger in a statement. “2026 is shaping up to
be a standout year for sports fans, and we’re doing our part by gearing up to
fly more football fans than ever before this year.”
Fall pro matchups and flight information includes:
- Detroit at Buffalo: DTW to BUF 9/17, BUF to DTW 9/18
- Philadelphia at Tennessee: Additional seats from
PHL to Nashville, Tennessee (BNA) 9/19, BNA to PHL 9/21
- Tennessee at New York: Additional seats from BNA
to LGA 9/26, LGA to BNA 9/28
- Philadelphia at Chicago: Additional seats from
