To celebrate the March 31 release of the new movie, 'The Boss Baby', Amtrak has teamed up with DreamWorks Animation to remind families about available discounts on their upcoming rail travel.
Families traveling via Amtrak train are able to save money, as children's tickets are discounted by 50 percent every day.
"Our discounts for kids are always 50% off year round," Amtrak told TravelPulse. "The partnership with the movie just allows us a fun opportunity to promote the fact that we offer this discount."
Not only will traveling via rail help parents and guardians avoid baggage fees and traffic stops, but it helps families come together as they gaze out the windows at the beautiful American landscapes passing with each mile.
For children under two years old, they are allowed to travel for free on Amtrak, (though infants are not entitled to a seat). As for kids between two and 12 years old, up to two children may travel at the half-price fare with each adult passenger paying a full fare.
If families are traveling with more than two children between two and 12 years old, each additional kid will need a full-priced adult fare to get on the train.
