Holland America Line is introducing a new specialty sushi bar on five of its ships.
Part of the line’s Morimoto by Sea dining experience, the new venue features a menu developed by chef Masaharu Morimoto, the cruise line’s global fresh fish ambassador. Already offered onboard Nieuw Amsterdam, the sushi bar will be rolling out aboard Rotterdam, Koningsdam, Nieuw Statendam and Eurodam through June 2025
On Rotterdam, Koningsdam and Nieuw Statendam, the venue will feature bar seating for 12, plus additional table seating in the surrounding area. Eurodam will feature a small sushi preparation counter with seating in the surrounding area.
Guests can choose from sushi, sashimi, rolls and other dishes, ranging from tuna pizza and sticky ribs to pork gyoza dumplings and lobster pad thai.
“With chef Morimoto’s knowledge and expertise in the sushi world, it made sense for him to expand beyond his Morimoto By Sea restaurant and develop a specialized sushi bar featuring his signature style and flavors,” says Michael Stendebach, vice president of food, beverage and rooms division for Holland America Line. “We’re excited to extend our fresh fish options and give our guests access to another specialty venue with cuisine by such a renowned chef.”
