Holland America Line’s Koningsdam is back on the water after a two‑week dry dock in the Bahamas.
The ship is debuting additional larger ocean‑view staterooms, refreshed live music venues, an expanded casino, a refreshed Effy shop and updated finishes throughout the ship. It’s now making its final Caribbean voyage of the season before transiting the Panama Canal and heading to Alaska for the summer.
During dry dock, Holland America Line added five new, larger ocean view staterooms aboard Koningsdam, creating more space for groups traveling together as the ship heads to Alaska. Each stateroom accommodates up to four guests and features two beds that convert to a queen-size bed, along with a double sofa bed. Four of the staterooms are connecting, allowing larger groups of families and friends to book together.
Holland America Line also upgraded 22 Vista Suites with new sofa beds, giving families more options to stay together.
The company added seating and refreshed the layout of the area connecting Billboard Onboard and Rolling Stone Lounge to create a more immersive live music experience aboard Koningsdam. It also expanded Koningsdam’s casino and made a series of interior updates throughout the ship, including new carpeting in the staterooms and public areas. Several specialty dining venues, including Pinnacle Grill, Sel de Mer and Club Orange, also received update.
The ship’s fitness center also received new equipment and Koningsdam’s Effy jewelry retail space underwent a full refresh.
