Port of Baltimore Announces First Cruise Ship Departures Since Key Bridge Collapse

Royal Caribbean International will be the first cruise line to set sail from the Port of Baltimore following the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in late March.

The Maryland port confirmed that Vision of the Seas will depart Baltimore on Saturday, May 25, sailing a five-night itinerary to Bermuda. 

Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Pride will follow suit on Sunday, May 26, sailing a 14-day Greenland and Canada itinerary.

 

The Dali cargo ship crashed into the bridge in the early morning hours of March 26, resulting in a collapse that killed six construction workers and blocked the entrance to the busy port.

Following the incident, impacted cruise lines have been forced to port in nearby Norfolk, Virginia.

In addition to Royal Caribbean and Carnival, Norwegian Cruise Line operates out of Baltimore.
