Dwain Wall, senior vice president of agency and trade relations at the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) will leave the organization at the end of the year, organization officials said Friday. Wall said he has accepted a new position within the cruise industry that will be detailed at a later date.
"I look forward to continuing to further my relationships with CLIA's agent and cruise line partners in my new position," said Wall.
CLIA has instituted a search for Wall's replacement. During the transition, Mark Conroy, former CEO of Regent Cruise Lines and a CLIA consultant and strategic advisor, will expand his duties and "[take] on the leadership role with CLIA travel agency members," according to a CLIA statement.
Natasha Schooling, CLIA's lead strategist for its travel agent membership program, "will continue her work supporting the redesign of CLIA training and certification programs in 2015," according to the statement. CLIA also hired instructional designer Carol Davis in October to lead the redesign of the training and certification programs.
