Summer may have
just begun, but fall will be upon us before we know it. And, as usual, Southern
California’s Disneyland
Resort will be the absolute best place to celebrate everything the spooky
season has to offer when Halloween
Time at Disneyland Resort returns from August 23 – October 31, 2024.
During these
cooler months, guests of all ages
can delight in returning favorites and new offerings, ensuring fun for everyone
from those seeking lighthearted scares to those honoring time-honored
traditions. The Halloween Time
celebration will enchant visitors with
festive seasonal decor, Halloween-themed attractions, special entertainment and
an abundance of themed treats.
Disneyland Park
At Disneyland Park,
Mickey Mouse and friends will debut brand-new Halloween costumes for this
year’s celebration. Meanwhile, "Mickey's Trick and Treat" show will
entertain guests at Disney California Adventure Park during the daytime for the
first time ever.

be adorned with colorful autumn foliage and seasonal decor, the giant Mickey
Mouse Pumpkin at the park’s entrance. Meanwhile, the Main Street Pumpkin
Festival will see scads of ornate pumpkins decorating Main Street, U.S.A.

Efforts are underway
to expand the grounds of the classic Haunted Mansion attraction, meaning that
when it returns in its merriest manifestation as Haunted Mansion Holiday, it
will utilize a virtual queue only. Year after year, guests delight in Jack Skellington’s
takeover of the Christmas holiday, which produces a fantastical mishmash of
Halloween-meets-Christmas merriment. As always, the beloved annual overlay inspired
by "Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas" will feature a fresh
gingerbread house design at the center of its ballroom scene.
The eerie evenings
will bring the "Halloween Screams" nighttime spectacular, which sees Disney
villains conjured from the ether through spooky projections and special effects
at Sleeping Beauty Castle,
“it’s a small world”, the Rivers of America and Main Street, U.S.A., with a
special bonus of added
fireworks on select nights.

Disney
California Adventure Park
Disney California
Adventure Park will transform with Halloween-themed decorations, including the
Headless Horseman statue on Buena Vista Street. Radiator Springs will become
Radiator Screams, featuring Halloween-themed versions of two attractions: Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween and Mater’s
Graveyard JamBOOree. Avengers Campus will
also offer the "Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark"
mission each evening.
This year, for the
very first time, “Mickey’s
Trick and Treat” comes to the Disney Theater as a daytime offering. The
interactive show follows Mickey and friends as they celebrate a not-so-scary
Halloween with spooky stories and mixing up magical potions. Led by a host
dressed as a mad scientist, little ones and their parents can delight in
dancing along to the whimsically wacky songs.

Plaza de la
Familia
At Disney California
Adventure Park, the Plaza de la Familia will celebrate Día de los Muertos from
August 23 to November 2, 2024. This event will feature Mexican cuisine, vibrant
decorations, and entertainment honoring family bonds and traditions. At the
same time, the show celebrating Pixar Animation Studios’ film "Coco"
will introduce a new name, storyline and costumes.
Other Día de los Muertos celebrations can also be
found throughout the resort. In Disneyland Park’s Frontierland, the area
surrounding Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante is decked out in brilliant marigolds,
brightly colored floral elements and skeleton figures, as well as other
decorations typically included in traditional ofrendas. Miguel from “Coco” also
visits with guests at this location several times each day.

Oogie Boogie
Bash – A Disney Halloween Party
Another cherished
component of Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort is Oogie Boogie Bash – A
Disney Halloween Party, a separately ticketed after-hours event
that’s returning this year with more nights than ever before. The special
festivities take over Disney California Adventure Park on 27 select nights between
August 25 and October 31.
This is the one
place where all guests are invited to wear their Halloween costumes into the
park, where they’ll enjoy an evening filled with themed food and beverages, attractions, entertainment, treat
trails, the "Frightfully Fun Parade” and the immersive Villains Grove walkthrough
experience. Guests of this special event also get to access Disney California Adventure Park three
hours before the party begins. Inspire Magic Key holders will have the purchase
tickets first, starting June 25, but admission goes on sale to the general
public on June 27.

Downtown Disney
District
Just outside the
park gates, the Downtown Disney District will also sport spirited Halloween décor,
seasonal entertainment, limited-time retail, food and beverage items, and other
themed offerings. This year’s decorative installations feature oversized
pumpkins in various vibrant colors that make for ideal photo backdrops. For
family-friendly fun, guests participate in Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit and join the
hunt for hidden Disney character-themed pumpkins. For the very first time, they’ll
also find pumpkins secreted throughout Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure
Park, with each park offering their own individual activity maps for purchase.
