Disneyland’s beloved Haunted Mansion will reopen on July 29 with an early “Nightmare Before Christmas” theme following renovations that closed the attraction in January.
The renovations, according to Los Angeles news station KLTA 5, include a new retail shop and an expanded outdoor queue. As the renovations are expected to continue, Disneyland will provide a virtual queue for Haunted Mansion-goers. Disneyland guests can use the Disneyland app to request to be placed in the queue.
The attraction will begin its Haunted Mansion Holiday theme on July 29, week ahead of schedule, giving guests ample opportunities to return to the attraction with “Nightmare Before Christmas” characters, including Jack Skellington, Sally and Zero.
“The attraction will don décor inspired by [the film],” a Disneyland spokesperson told KTLA 5. “At the center of the frightful fête’s ballroom scene is the gingerbread house, with an all-new design for this year.”
The renovation of Haunted Mansion coincides with New Orleans Square’s re-theming of Splash Mountain into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which is expected to open later this year.
Anaheim residents can also now purchase a one-day, single-park ticket to Disneyland for just $69 per person in a new promotion celebrating 69 years of Disneyland.
