Unless you have the chops or are close to someone who does, you will not get to see the inside of Abbey Road Studio.
Google (h/t Engadget) remedies that to a degree with a virtual tour of the location that has welcomed artists such as The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Michael Jackson.
The website is called Inside Abbey Road, and it's an interactive tour of the famed studio that is largely off limits to those without otherworldly musical talents.
Now when you hit the link you are transported to a far away land we shall call St. John's Wood, London.
That's when you get this nifty little introduction video:
From there you will get to do as much stomping around these hallowed grounds that your mouse-clicking finger will allow.
For example, you can click on the Birth of Film Scoring and get an immersive tutorial on the history of music that was produced in this very place, including the first complete film score.
As the page states, John Williams worked with the London Symphony Orchestra to create the music behind "Raiders of the Lost Ark." You can even order listed tracks that are seamlessly provided through Google Play.
Some, such as those found on "The Elgar Edition," are playable through the link.
As you "walk" through the studio, there will also be a selection of YouTube videos provided that give added depth to the experience.
Tucked away in the corner is this gem, which is Sting performing his greatest hits with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
We can only imagine that the virtual tour will be immensely popular considering the masses of tourists who show up just outside the studio to snap their own version of the classic album cover of "Abbey Road" by holding up traffic:

As for the studio, the virtual doors are open and the entrance fee is simply a bit of curiosity.
