It's all fun and games until a bird whacks you in the throat while you travel over 100 miles per hour down the track.

That's the scenario that played out recently for one man who was enjoying the whimsy of the Red Force roller coaster located at the newly opened, Barcelona-area Ferrari Land.

The following video shows a park reveler rocketing down the track when he is slammed in the throat by a bird, allowing him to join the hall of fame of bird-related fiascoes along with Fabio and Randy Johnson.

Metro has more details of the incident, explaining that this particular coaster, the fastest in Europe, reaches a speed of 112 miles per hour in all of five seconds.

There is no word as to how fast the ride was traveling when the bird struck the park enthusiast.

What we can assume, however, is that it didn't feel all that great.

You know that icky feeling you get when a bug flies into your mouth? Judging by the look on this guy's face, the feeling is similar to when a bird whacks you in the throat.

Thankfully, the feeling was fleeting. Because after he realizes what happened and catches his breath, he raises his arm to finish out this awesome ride like a champ.

The park, located at Port Aventura, was recently opened to great fanfare to humans but utter disgust in the bird community.

This particular ride is described as a thrill fest that has its riders experience what it's like to be a professional driver on the race track: "Experience the full range of f1 sensations on a spectacular ride with an 880-metre route, accelerating from 180 km/h in just 5 seconds and reaching a maximum height of 112 meters."

Back in October, Formula One test driver Marc Gene offered thoughts on the then upcoming ride: "The acceleration is going to be even quicker than a Formula One car. What is going to be very impressive is the G force on the vertical accelerator. At 4.5 G it is even more than a formula one car. Attractions will allow visitors to experience firsthand some of the sensations of driving a Formula One racing car. It's a park for all ages, where even the youngest members of the family can discover the legendary spirit of Ferrari."

Just make sure that you have your mouth closed and are wearing bird repellant.
