It takes roughly one minute for a Boeing Dreamliner to be assembled. Well, in the case of this time-lapse video it does.
CNN decided to highlight an often ignored aspect of aviation, which is how an airplane is assembled.
We scurry about the world in these jumbo jet planes without ever considering how meticulously these mammoth things are put together.
The following, however, time-lapse video offers a glimpse into the maddening amount of work that goes into building a Boeing Dreamliner.
Thankfully, we don't have to lift as much as a screwdriver to enjoy the captivating assembly process:
CNN offers up some mesmerizing numbers on the behemoth: "the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is 206 feet long - 20 feet longer than its predecessor - and holds 290 passengers. It has a flight range of 8,200 nautical miles."
As a video captions states, the range will make non-stop flights from Los Angeles to Melbourne possible.
That will give you ample time to ponder aviation's future, which may mean less layovers and more time to figure out how humanity might evolve to sleep pleasantly in one of those airplane seats.
