The "Mission: Impossible" series has always been characterized by amazing action and equally intoxicating locations. From the rock-climbing opening of "Mission: Impossible II" in Moab, Utah to high atop Burj Khalifa in "Ghost Protocol," the series has been as much about dazzling destinations as it has been about adrenaline-pumping sequences on planes, trains and automobiles.

The fifth installment of Ethan Hunt's misadventures seems to be no different.

"Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" opens nationwide on July 31, already racking up $4 million in its limited release on Thursday evening.

Essentially, we haven't yet grown tired of these seemingly impossible missions. The most recent once again takes Hunt (Tom Cruise) and crew to exotic destinations, allowing us a glimpse of iconic International locales as cars whiz by and guns go off.

As IMDB illustrates, producers once again took a global outlook when deciding on shooting locations: Morocco, Austria and England play a part in the movie.

9News.com has stills from portions of the Morocco shoot that took place "in the Kasbah of the Udayas near the Moroccan capital Rabat."

Nearby is presumably where this scene unfolded-although we would advise not to get into any motorcycle chases while in the area. It's bad for the bike, it seems:

According to IMDB, the "road scenes" took place in Marrakech, which had one heck of a day when this frantic scene took place. Now this might also be Agadir, so we would love to hear from anyone in the know to settle that quandary:

This video, however grainy, delivers some nice behind-the-scenes footage of the production throughout Morocco:

We go from insane stunts on the ground to those atop a beloved landmark. Cruise features in the following video that shows how a scene was filmed at Vienna's State Opera:

Variety's Leo Barraclough reports Austria on a whole has been popular for film crews, which includes those shooting the new James Bond chapter, "Spectre."

Barraclough explains the influx: "Both productions received financial support from Film Location Austria, which offers a production incentive worth up to 25% of the local spend for projects that shoot for at least five days on location in Austria, up to an upper limit of €1.5 million ($1.65 million)."

But if we are talking travel, we might as well bring up the only way to fly if you are operative Ethan Hunt.

As we previously noted, Cruise performed the following stunt a ridiculous eight times.

So far the film has a warm and cuddly 93 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. It seems to likely be one of the better films in the series.

And at 53, Cruise doesn't appear like he is about to slow things down anytime soon, which is good news for audiences who like their action movies to be as extreme as humanly possible.
