The water rides are back!
Boat transportation on the lake has officially returned. Guests are now able to sail across Bay Lake between Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground on the watercraft “blue route” beginning October 1.
One of the most enjoyable things about Disney World is the myriad ways of transportation within the resort's area, including the water taxis.
Not only will the water ride take you between the two lodging facilities, but water transportation to the Magic Kingdom is available daily from 3 p.m.
Water taxi service is also available between the Magic Kingdom and the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, as well as the Polynesian Village Resort. You can also get to Disney Springs to have a bite to eat or to shop via the water.
A full list of water taxi rides and routes can be found on Disney’s website.
