Caesars Entertainment Corporation announced plans Monday to open its first non-gaming hotel in the United States, the Caesars Republic Scottsdale in Arizona.
The decision to open a non-gaming hotel in the U.S. is part of Caesars' strategy to expand its brands and loyalty network through licensing agreements.
The four-star Caesars Republic Scottsdale will be developed by HCW Development and operated by Aimbridge Hospitality, with Caesars licensing its brand, providing advice on design elements and integrating the Total Rewards loyalty network.
"Caesars Republic Scottsdale represents the introduction of a new world-class brand and further progress on our strategy to expand our non-gaming business into premier destinations," Caesars Entertainment CEO Mark Frissora said in a statement.
"This project will be our first non-gaming asset in the United States and demonstrates the global strength of the Caesars brand," Frissora continued. "We look forward to partnering with HCW Development and Aimbridge Hospitality to create a world-class experience in one of the nation's most desirable communities."
The hotel will be 11-stories tall, feature 266 rooms and located within walking distance of the region's premier luxury retail destination, Scottsdale Fashion Square. The property will also boast a bridal suite, five luxury entertainment suites, five breakout rooms and an executive board room.
In addition, the Caesars Republic Scottsdale will feature the only rooftop pool and bar in Scottsdale, which will overlook Camelback Mountain.
Caesars Republic offers a new kind of lifestyle hotel experience, as it is the hotel and resort giant's first brand designed exclusively for non-gaming hotels.
