The Grand Hyatt San Antonio opened its doors 10 years ago.
Since that time, it has accommodated more than three million guests and hosted in excess of 5,000 meetings.
To celebrate its first decade of business, the property just completed a sweeping $19 million renovation of guest rooms, meeting spaces, corridors, the lobby, an onsite bar and more.
The redesign was aimed at capturing the essence of San Antonio’s rich culture, including the city’s popular River Walk, Hyatt said in a statement.
Refreshed guest rooms, for instance, are now accented in southwestern colors and contemporary furniture. There have also been technology upgrades, making wireless high-speed internet available for free in all hotel rooms and public spaces.
Meeting spaces have also been updated, providing 13 indoor and outdoor venues to host weddings, social gatherings or corporate events. In addition, the hotel includes a 5,200 square foot balcony overlooking San Antonio.
The newly renovated hotel entrance showcases exquisite wall coverings, while the lobby now includes Italian tile and marble, new furniture and easily accessible electrical outlets to encourage networking and conversations among guests.
A final element of the hotel’s renovation focused on its Bar Rojo, where there’s now increased seating and new modernized furniture incorporating embedded electrical outlets and wireless technology in the marble table tops.
The Grand Hyatt San Antonio is located next to San Antonio’s Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and is connected to the world famous Alamodome via a footbridge.
The Hyatt property includes a heated roof-top pool and offers morning yoga classes, a state-of-the-art fitness center with cardio machines and three restaurants including Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
