LEGOLAND Florida Resort officials announced it is now accepting reservations for stays at the new Pirate Island Hotel, scheduled to open in May 2020.
The new Pirate Island Hotel will be the first LEGO Pirate hotel in North America and the third accommodation located at the park. The facility will feature 146 rooms, four suites, a heated pool with pool deck, hundreds of LEGO models, daily in-room LEGO treasure hunts, exclusive character experiences and is located a short distance from the main entrance to the theme park.
Rooms at the LEGOLAND Florida hotel will include two separate spaces; a kid's sleeping area and an adult area, which include LEGO Pirate decor, a king bed, bunk beds, LEGO play areas and televisions in each room.
"Pirate Island Hotel will be a great addition to LEGOLAND Florida Resort," General Manager Rex Jackson said in a statement. "Based on our consumer demand, the need for a third on-site accommodation has never been higher. Along with THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD, Pirate Island Hotel is a key component in the park's overall growth and expansion as we continue to strengthen LEGOLAND Florida Resort as a multi-day destination."
LEGOLAND Florida's Pirate Island Hotel will be the home of a pirate-themed restaurant called Shipwreck Restaurant, the Smuggler's Bar for the adult pirates, an entertainment area for kid-friendly nightly programming and LEGO play pits.
In addition to Pirate Island Hotel, LEGOLAND Florida recently opened its newest park expansion, THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD, and will also be opening a nine-hole miniature golf course for hotel guests only on May 24.
