The annual World Travel Awards' Caribbean & the North America Ceremony took place on Oct. 17 at Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Tennis & Spa Resort and, in addition to hosting the event, Sandals Resorts International also took home a number of awards. All in all, Sandals collected 17 accolades, including the award for the Caribbean's Leading Hotel Brand, a title that the company has earned for the past 22 years.

"These outstanding recognitions validate the hard work of our staff and their constant commitment to providing our guests with the best possible experiences each and every day."
Recognition for Sandals included a win for Sandals Barbados, new to the winners' circle with an award for Caribbean's Leading Resort. The property opened in January of this year.
In addition to Sandals Barbados' win, the company took home awards in the following categories:

Sandals and Beaches resorts were also honored at the International Caribbean World Travel & Living Awards, now in its 21st year. The magazine recognizes excellence in travel, tourism and real estate throughout the Caribbean region. The awards are voted on by the magazine and its readers, while special awards are given by the magazine staff at its discretion.
Sandals was honored in six categories and received the following awards:

Best Family Resort of the Year: Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort
