The newest Sandals Resorts International (SRI) property will be a 222-room resort.
Originally planned as an extension to the existing Sandals Barbados, this all-new, all-suite Sandals Royal Barbados will open in December as a stand-alone resort and "complement" to the adjacent property said Gordon "Butch" Stewart, SRI's chairman.
The new resort's accommodations will consist of concierge and butler-level suites that include Sandals' Rondoval and Millionaire Butler and Skypool suites. Guests will receive private airport transfers via Rolls Royce and enjoy access to a Crystal Lagoon Pool complex.
"After reviewing the scope of the project, we felt that expanding may compromise intimacy, essential to a romantic setting, and possibly service standards," said Stewart. "So we established a management team dedicated exclusively to Sandals Royal Barbados and designed the new resort to complement Sandals Barbados."
Stewart added that guests at each resort will have access to amenities, services and facilities at the other property.

Resort rates will start from $251 per person, per night. Other amenities include a 13,000 square foot Red Lane spa, four bars featuring premium spirits and dining options offering American, French, Chinese-Japanese fusion, Caribbean and Mediterranean cuisine. The resort will also offer a 6,000 sq. ft. conference facility.
Sandals Barbados opened in 2015 as the company's first resort on the southern Caribbean island. The Dover Beach property is located within a five-minute taxi ride of historic Bridgetown-whose Garrison is an UNESCO World Heritage Site-and landmarks ranging from Lord Nelson's statue to the city's Jewish synagogue and Kensington Oval, the site of the 2007 Cricket World Cup final.
