Plenty of resorts have spas, but far fewer properties offer spa treatments in oceanfront cabanas where you can hear the waves lapping the shore while indulging in a massage, facial or body wrap.
Jamaica's Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall-an all-inclusive, adults-only property in Montego Bay- recently announced just such an offering.
The property now has four oceanfront cabanas where guests can be pampered with the latest scrubs, wraps, facials, and even foot washing rituals, noted Spa Supervisor Peta-ann McFarlane. (There are showers in the treatment rooms too).
"The beauty of being right on the ocean is you can come right off the beach and get a massage done," said McFarlane.
Each cabana has been designed so that guests can choose between experiencing the sea breeze while undergoing treatments. Or, for those who prefer an escape from the heat, the cabanas have been outfitted with air conditioning.
Among the signature treatments being offered in the new spa cabanas is a foot-washing ritual that involves the use of local essential oils and decadent scents, including peppermint and coffee scents.
The new cabanas will offer treatments seven days a week.
Beyond the spa, The Hyatt Zilara, is part of a beachfront compound that includes its sister resort Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall (a family-friendly property). Combined the two resorts offer two pools, heated whirlpools, more than 18 restaurants and over 600 hotel rooms, all on 26 acres of pristine beachfront land.
There's also 24-hour room service, 24-hour fitness centers and nightly entertainment at the Montego Bay properties.
And for those looking for still more quality spa time, the Hyatt Ziva offers its own indoor version, the Zen Spa, where the options include Swedish massages, reflexology, custom facials, eye treatments and more.
