WHY IT RATES: Wyndham Rewards members now have an additional 200 properties at which they may earn and redeem their points. -Mia Taylor, TravelPulse Senior Writer.
Wyndham Rewards, the award-winning guest loyalty program known for its groundbreaking simplicity and generous rewards, has added the AmericInn brand and its more than 200 midscale hotels to the program's growing portfolio of more than 25,000 hotels, condos and homes worldwide.
Starting today, Wyndham Rewards members may earn and redeem their points at all AmericInn locations. Like all Wyndham Rewards hotels, members will earn a minimum 1,000 points or 10 points per dollar spent, whichever is more, on every qualified stay and may redeem a free night at any location for just 15,000 points per room, per night.
"Wyndham Rewards was built from the ground up to meet the needs of the everyday traveler," Eliot Hamlisch, vice president of worldwide loyalty and partnerships at Wyndham Hotel Group, said in a statement. "The addition of AmericInn-our 20th hotel brand-builds upon that commitment, giving members more opportunities to earn and redeem at more than 200 high-quality hotels across key destinations in the mid-west and beyond."
Wyndham Rewards replaces AmericInn's Easy Rewards loyalty program, which officially ends March 4, 2018.
Now through March 3, 2018, members may continue to earn and redeem points in both programs for stays at AmericInn hotels. Following the discontinuation of Easy Rewards, members with any remaining, unused Easy Rewards points will have them automatically transferred to their Wyndham Rewards account at a ratio of 1,500 Wyndham Rewards points for every 1 Easy Rewards point.
Transfers will be automatic and are expected to be complete by March 31, 2018.
