On Monday, officials from Atlantis Resort Paradise Island revealed that the facility received only damage during the onslaught of Hurricane Matthew. The resort is expected to be fully operational by Oct. 12.
Following the hurricane, all guests, employees, and marine life are reported safe.
Officials from the Atlantis Resort stated that all guests were able to return to their rooms by Friday after a thorough inspection of the property, and that most of the facility's guest activities and offerings have also reopened.
The Cove Atlantis and Cain at The Cove are still closed while crews repair damage from the storm, but they are expected to open once again on Oct. 12. For guests impacted by the temporary closure, they will be accommodated at the neighboring Reef Atlantis.
"Our dedicated Atlantis staff has been working to get us back to normal operation as quickly as possible," Atlantis Resort president Howard Karawan said in a statement. "We want our guests to enjoy the full Atlantis experience and we are thrilled that we will be ready to welcome over 3,000 group attendees to the resort this week. I couldn't be more proud of the team and the passion they have shown to our property and the compassion they have shown to our guests over the past week."

While the Atlantis Resort was lucky to avoid sustaining serious damage, other areas in the Bahamas weren't so fortunate. To provide assistance for relief and rebuilding, Atlantis has launched a relief effort campaign running through Oct. 31.
