20 Delicious Things to Eat at Disneyland

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park Food

1/21
Disneyland is all about the rides, immersing guests into the land of Disney, meeting characters from your favorite movies and, most importantly, the food. From snacks taken straight out of the movies to whimsical takes on regular food items to almost anything imaginable coming in Mickey-shaped form, you're sure to find it all. These are my top must-eats while enjoying a day at the Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park.

Mickey Beignets From the Mint Julep Bar

2/21
I have been dreaming about the day of trying these beauties since I first saw them on Instagram years ago. Light, fluffy and covered in powdered sugar, these delicious Mickey-shaped pieces of fried dough lived up to all the expectations I had. Plus, Disneyland has special flavors-like birthday cake, butterscotch and more-for their special events.

Currently, there's even a fried chicken and beignet sandwich offering at Café Orleans.

Corn Dog From Little Red Wagon

3/21
It was a close race between this and the Mickey beignets for 'Best Item I Ate.' When I first stepped into line at the Little Red Wagon, I have to admit, I had my doubts. But I was hungry and am a huge fan of Casey's Corner at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.

The corndog is fantastic. My husband and I got one to share, but I really should have gotten my own. It was that good. The batter is just sweet enough and the hotdog was just plain perfect. No ketchup or mustard is even necessary.

Mickey Mouse Rice Krispy Treats From Multiple Locations

4/21
These will forever be one of my favorites, whether at Disneyland or Walt Disney World. Rice Krispy goodness with the ears covered in just enough chocolate and sprinkles. Plus some of the bakeries located around the park even offer this in a four pack now that you can take home with you. There are oftentimes variations of this classic treat-like a 'hunny' pot at Pooh Corner.

Mickey Macaron From Jolly Holiday Bakery

5/21
I have to admit, I'm a sucker for all the Mickey-shaped goods, but any macaron lover needs to give this beauty a try. Perfectly made with an explosion of fresh raspberries in the center. It's really like getting three macarons in one, so it's easy to share with multiple members in your group.

Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums From Pixar Pier

6/21
This is located right outside the exit of The Incredicoaster at Pixar Pier. Although I don't recommend eating this right after getting off the ride, it is a great shareable snack. First off, these cookies are huge-I'm impressed by anyone who can finish a whole one by themselves. There are three different flavors-chocolate chip (Num Num), shortbread and Incredicookie (gluten friendly). I opted for the movie version-the chocolate chip Num Num-and it was everything I hoped it would be. Of course the cart also sells milk to go along with this delicious treat.

Pommes Frites From Cafe Orleans

7/21
I feel like this item needs to be talked about more. Yes, it's just a basket of French fries-perfectly cooked and coated in parmesan, garlic and parsley, I might add-with a remoulade sauce, but man, you will be talking about these long after you leave the park.

Dole Whip Float From Multiple Locations

8/21
It's true that you have to get a Dole Whip when going to a Disney theme park, but I love this creative twist on a standby favorite-the Dole Whip Float. Ideal for those hot afternoons, offering the perfect cool-down while waiting in line for the next ride.

Bao Buns From The Tropical Hideaway

9/21
The Tropical Hideaway has been all abuzz since it opened in Adventureland just this past year. Personally, I love the quick service and food carts over the sit-down restaurants as they allow you so much more time to enjoy the rides. Although The Tropical Hideaway had some really unique options, it was the main dish-the bao buns-that really caught my attention. They come in three flavors: spiced vegetable, kaffir lime chicken and bulgogi beef. They all smelled heavenly, but the bulgogi beef was my favorite. Be sure to get the spicy sauce too!

Monte Cristo Sandwich From Cafe Orleans

10/21
The Monte Cristo sandwich served here is famous. It's sweet and savory and enough to split between two people. Dusted in powdered sugar and served with jelly, you're going to love every bite of this beautiful creation.

Fiesta Cone From Cozy Cone Motel

11/21
The Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure is adorable. With numerous windows serving different food options from churros to ice cream to popcorn, it's nice to have multiple members in your party waiting in line for these delectable options. But it's the Fiesta Cone from the center stall that really got our attention. Served in a bread cone, this take on nachos has all my favorites-delicious toppings and perfectly spiced ground beef.

Soft Serve Ice Cream From Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats at Pixar Pier

12/21
Be prepared-this line can get pretty long. When I was here it was almost touching the Single Riders line for the IncrediCoaster. But, once you taste the soft serve tastiness of their offerings, you'll realize the line is worth the wait. If you're a Dole Whip fan, then I highly recommend the 'It's Lemon!' option. And you can get it topped with white chocolate-yum!

Mickey Pretzel With Cheese from Multiple Locations

13/21
If you haven't guessed by now, I am a huge fan of the savory snacks. When I passed by a pretzel cart with Mickey-shaped pretzels and dipping cheese, I just had to have one. They taste fresh, they're warm and who can say no to whatever that cheese dip really is? I felt a little guilty tearing Mickey's face in half, but this snack is super shareable. Although, maybe you should order an extra cup of the cheese.

Mickey Waffle From Carnation Cafe

14/21
What better way is there than staring your day with a Mickey waffle? This Belgian-style waffle, dusted with powdered sugar, can also be served with apple or strawberry topping. Right now, guests can also order the "Celebrate Mickey" waffle which comes with fried chicken that has been coated in cereal. The strawberry topping is my personal favorite.

Mickey Ice Cream Bar From Multiple Locations

15/21
My husband loves these! And even though you can now buy these at the grocery store, there's something special about walking around the park nibbling on one of Mickey's ears.

Specialty Churros From Multiple Locations

16/21
Churro carts are everywhere throughout the parks, near Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Buena Vista Street and more. But it's the specialty churros that you really need to be on the lookout for. Try the Caliente Churro at Senor Buzz Churros or the popular Halloween flavors like S'mores, Sour Apple and the Maleficent Churro. Offerings seem to always be changing, so keep your eyes peeled for new ones.

Popcorn From Multiple Locations

17/21
Honestly, I don't know if it the popcorn or the popcorn buckets that I like more. The Mickey and Minnie balloon buckets are my favorites. While I'm not too adventuresome with the flavor-I normally stick to the regular buttered popcorn-you can get popcorn in multiple flavors like dill pickle and nacho cheese.

Character Candy Apples From Multiple Locations

18/21
These candy apples are almost too cute to eat-almost. You can get these at Pooh Corner, Candy Palace, Trolley Treats, Bing Bong's Sweet Stuff and Marceline's Confectionery in Downtown Disney. There's always an assortment of characters for you to choose from-depending on which shop you're in and the time of year you go. The unicorn-or Buttercup from Toy Story 3-caramel apple is hilarious to me, and the special Halloween apples are simply amazing.

Funnel Cake From Multiple Locations

19/21
Another classic and served in a variety of offerings. Currently, Stage Door Café has a seasonal strawberry cheesecake funnel cake that is simply divine-highly recommend and calories don't count at Disney. There are also traditional toppings like apple pie, streusel, whipped cream and strawberry. There's another seasonal offering at Hungry Bear Restaurant in Critter Country that is topped with spicy chips and drizzled with cheese sauce. I'm sorry, but I just couldn't bring myself to try this one.

Specialty Treats From the Annual Festivals

20/21
Throughout the year, Disneyland has special events and seasonal offerings, so it's important to always check the menus before venturing to the parks. Just recently they wrapped up the 2019 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. Anytime there is a new event or a special time of the year, there will be a plethora of new food options. So keep your eyes peeled and taste buds ready!

Ronto Wraps From Ronto Roasters

21/21
These Ronto Wraps are perhaps one of the best food items in the new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge area at Disneyland. Filled with roasted pork, pork sausage, a peppercorn sauce and topped with slaw, this pita-filled meal is like a fancy hotdog. Super flavorful and perfect for trying to see everything this new land has to offer before your time expires.
