What's Expected to Come to Disney Parks in 2021

Disney is continuously evolving and reimagining its theme parks. Normally this time of year has us excited for upcoming ride openings and new attractions at the parks, but this past year has left a lot of uncertainty. It's still unclear when Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park will even be allowed to reopen. But with a vaccine beginning to be administered, park capacity at Walt Disney World slightly increased, some rides returning to full capacity, and the return of park hopping, we have our fingers crossed that the following will still make their debut sometime during this next year.

This one is a guarantee. EPCOT is currently undergoing a multi-year renovation focusing on its four neighborhoods - World Discovery, World Celebration, World Nature and World Showcase. Just last month the park debuted its beautiful new entrance.

The ride's marquee has already been installed and footage of the innovative ride coasters has been released. Now all we're waiting for is the debut of the ride itself. Located in the France Pavilion at EPCOT's World Showcase this ride is being modeled off Disneyland Paris' counterpart - with guests 'shrinking' to Remy's size before going on an adventure with the mouse himself.

A delicious new addition also to the France pavilion at EPCOT's World Showcase is the La Creperie de Paris. This table service and quick service combo will feature savory and sweet crepes.

Already barges have been spotted on EPCOT's lagoon and testing began in mid-December for EPCOT's newest nighttime spectacular. These barges will pull double duty and serve as a beautiful sparkling fountain during the day.

Located at the Mission Space pavilion, Space 220 is a new restaurant that will have guests traveling 220 miles into space before enjoying their meal. Real-time views of Earth from this distance will be projected throughout the restaurant.

The perfect spot for guests to interact with their favorite Toy Story characters, Roundup Rodeo BBQ is expected to be a table-service restaurant within Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Avenger's Campus was supposed to open during the summer of 2020, but COVID halted construction back in March of 2020. The new land in Disney's Califonia Adventure Park will open at some point this year, but no official date has been announced just yet. It's set to contain a new ride (WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure), Pym Test Kitchen and multiple spots for guests to take pictures with their favorite Marvel characters.

When Disneyland finally does reopen its doors, it will be with an all-new Snow White ride. Snow White's Scary Adventure has changed to Snow White's Enchanted Wish and features new story details and scenes.

2021 marks the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. It's expected that celebrations, specialty merchandise, food and beverages will debut at the park this October, but park-goers will be able to enjoy the festivities for the following months. Cinderella's Castle recently received a magical makeover as well as the beloved Walt Disney World resort entrance markers.
