As part of its 100th anniversary celebration in 2026,
American Airlines unveiled a new series of centennial‑themed in-flight dining
offerings.
Starting on February 9, travelers will be able to preorder
the special dishes ahead of their flights, with the menus debuting in March for
passengers in international and transcontinental Flagship First and Flagship
Business, followed by an April launch in domestic First Class.
“Our centennial year is a chance to reflect on how far we’ve
come while continuing to elevate the experience for our customers,” American
Senior Vice President Rhonda Crawford said.
Inspired by the 1920s, the domestic First Class menu will feature
a Waldorf salad, Boursin cream cheese dip, Beef Wellington with roasted
vegetables and asparagus with bearnaise sauce, and a pecan tart for dessert.
Passengers traveling in international Business Class and
transcontinental Business Class can enjoy prawn cocktails and Waldorf salads as
appetizers in March and Caviar and Blinis in April. Entree selections will include
Beef Wellington with bearnaise sauce and roasted vegetables, and Chicken
Florentine roulade served with mashed potatoes and mushroom sauce.
“These menus celebrate the flavors that defined the early
days of American Airlines in a way that feels special and memorable for today’s
travelers,” Crawford continued.
The themed meals join a series of initiatives already
underway to celebrate American’s 100th anniversary, including the
debut of a special centennial livery, the rollout of a new centennial logo
across digital channels and aircraft, and the launch of a dedicated centennial
site where customers can explore the airline’s history and shop commemorative
merchandise.
