Delta Air Lines announced it would enhance its onboard food
and beverage service and offer a variety of premium onboard beer, wine and
spirit choices, starting this fall.
The carrier’s overhaul of its snack offerings includes a new
SunChips flavor (Garden Salsa), oat milk coffee creamer from Lakeland Dairies and
an updated AM Snack Basket, featuring Biscoff cookies and Nature Valley Soft
Baked Oatmeal Squares.
Delta is also expanding its alcohol variety with the
addition of Lunzaul Blanco Tequila and New Belgium Brewing’s Voodoo Ranger IPA.
The airline is expanding the popular pre-select program and
refreshing menus for passengers flying in Delta One or First Class cabins.
Starting September 12, customers can enjoy a new, plated appetizer course to
complement their entrée. Also beginning that day is an elevated experience on
flights to Hawaii, which will now boast heated nuts, an expanded wine
selection, a unique appetizer, espresso service and more.
“We want every dining experience on a Delta flight to feel
exciting for our first-time flyers, our million milers and every customer in
between,” Delta senior vice president Kristen Manion Taylor said.
“Our customers and the diverse communities we serve are the
heart of everything we do at Delta, especially as we continue to develop
inclusive menus and bring new partners and products on board,” Taylor
continued.
September 12 will also mark the launch of exclusive,
regional or limited-selection meal options through the pre-select program on flights
over 900 miles, in addition to the standard menu available on board.
Delta is also rolling out refreshed menus in the Delta One
and First Class cabins on domestic and international flights with more
regional, comforting and chef-designed dishes. The carrier used historical data
on meal preferences from thousands of flights to track general trends and
customer feedback and deliver a premium dining experience.
