Frontier Airlines has launched an exclusive offer for Southwest Airlines' Rapid Rewards members in wake of the rival carrier's unpopular policy changes.
Now through April 30, 2025, Rapid Rewards members of any level can unlock FRONTIER Miles Elite Gold status through the end of the year with a $40 application fee.
Benefits include:
Elite Gold status members also accrue miles and points at an expedited rate (14X per $1 spent on eligible Frontier purchases).
“Frontier already offers the best value in the sky, and now consumers looking for their new airline of choice can enjoy even more benefits as they plan their 2025 travel,” said Jeff Werkheiser, Frontier's senior director of brand and customer engagement.
"We love rewarding our most loyal customers with perks that make traveling even more comfortable and seamless and can’t wait for new FRONTIER Miles Elite Gold members to begin enjoying a free carry-on bag, priority boarding and more right away."
Frontier, which failed to acquire Spirit Airlines in a second bid earlier this year, wasted little time capitalizing on Southwest's controversial policy changes announced earlier this year.
