United Airlines is celebrating its 14th consecutive title as the carrier with the world's Best Overall Frequent Flyer Program.
According to a survey completed by readers of Global Traveler, United's MileagePlus loyalty program earned the top spot every year since the inception of the category in 2004.
In addition, United's MileagePlus was named the Best Frequent-Flyer Bonus Program for the fifth consecutive year, and the United MileagePlus Club Card from Chase was named Best Credit Card and Best Credit Card Rewards Program, both for the sixth consecutive year.
"What is especially exciting about these honors is that they are awarded by travelers, and therefore a testament to our commitment to providing MileagePlus members and credit card holders with the industry-leading experience," United vice president Luc Bondar said in a statement.
"It is our goal to provide a loyalty program that recognizes and rewards all of our members while offering a breadth of valuable earning and redemption opportunities."
To earn miles with the MileagePlus loyalty program, members must fly with United, United Express, Star Alliance or other airline partners. Passengers can earn miles by purchasing products or services from partners around the world.
Members will have the chance to redeem their miles for travel, hotel stays, car rentals, merchandise and MileagePlus Exclusives, which are unique and memorable experiences with a VIP touch.
