The MSC Cruises fleet is growing.
The cruise line has ordered two new World Class ships, which are scheduled for delivery in 2029 and 2030.
The 6,774-passenger vessels will be constructed at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France.
Once they’re complete, the new ships will join MSC’s other World Class ships: MSC World Europa and MSC World America, plus MSC World Asia (debuting in 2026) and MSC World Atlantic (launching in 2027).
All of MSC’s World Class ships are capable of running on alternative fuel types, such as bio and synthetic liquefied natural gas. They also feature new technologies to help reduce methane slip, plus shor power connectivity and advanced wastewater treatment systems.
“The highly successful World Class platform combines the very best in environmental technology with the latest advancements in guest experiences,” says Pierfrancesco Vago, executive chairman for MSC Cruises.
