New Cruise Routes Announced

American Cruise Lines
American Cruise Lines’ newest American Constellation is heading to Puget Sound to begin its 2018 Pacific Northwest season. The ship will embark on three itineraries in the region ranging from five to eleven days, all roundtrip from Seattle, Washington, and prime for whale-watching.
The 5-day Highlights of the Puget Sound, 8-day Puget Sound & the San Juan Islands and 11-day Grand Puget Sound will operate in March, April, May and early June 2018 before heading north for its 8-day Southeast Alaska and 15-day Alaska Inside Passage voyages. American Constellation will then return to Puget Sound from late September through early November.
The 5-day Puget Sound itinerary visits Anacortes, Friday Harbor and Port Townsend while the two longer voyages cruise the San Juan Islands and add ports like Olympia, Tacoma and Victoria, as well as British Columbia and more.
Carnival Cruise Line
As it’s set to homeport in New York, Fort Lauderdale, and Norfolk, Carnival Cruise Line will greatly diversify the Carnival Triumph’s deployment in 2019 and 2020.
From New York, Carnival Triumph will offer four- to 14-day voyages departing in the summer and fall 2019 while visiting destinations in Bermuda, the Caribbean, Canada and New England, as well as the opportunity to visit the Panama Canal.
For the eight-day routes, cruisers will have the option of going to Grand Turk, San Juan and Amber Cove (Dominican Republic) or to San Juan, St. Thomas and Grand Turk. A 10-day trip will set out for San Juan, Tortola, St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Grand Turk, while a longer 14-day voyage will cruise to Colon (Panama), Grand Turk, Grand Cayman, Limon (Costa Rica) and Half Moon Cay.
From Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the ship will feature four- and five-day voyages in April 2019 as well as November 2019 through April 2020. Four-day weekend getaways will call on Nassau and the private islands of Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays. Five-day cruises will head for either Grand Turk, Nassau and Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays, or Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman.
Lastly, from Norfolk, Virginia, Triumph will showcase five- and six-day sailings to the Bahamas. The ship will call on Nassau and Freeport during five-day trips in May 2019 and Half Moon Cay, Nassau, and Freeport during six-day ones in May and October 2019.
CroisiEurope
CroisiEurope will offer an extended Loire River itinerary from April to October 2018. The 7-day Chateaux of the Loire Valley route combines a sailing and an overnight stay at a four-star hotel in Paris.
The six-day cruise aboard the MS Loire Princesse paddlewheel ship departs roundtrip from Nantes and features Saint Nazaire, Ancenis, Angers and the Châteaux of the Loire Valley. Other highlights include the Muscadet Wine Route, a Loire Valley helicopter ride, Château de Brissac wine tasting, Saint-Nazaire shipyard touring and a full-day excursion through the Loire-Château d’Ussé, Château d’Azay-le-Rideau and the gardens at the Château de Villandry.

Pearl Seas Cruises
For those who want to stay closer to home, there is Pearl Seas Cruises’ new opportunity to travel the Maine coast to the Bay of Fundy. Considered one of the seven natural wonders of North America, the 8-day, 7-night Maine & Bay of Fundy itinerary sails roundtrip from Portland, Maine to call on Rockland, Maine; Eastport, Maine; St. Andrews, New Brunswick, Canada; St. John, New Brunswick, Canada; Grand Manan Island and Bar Harbor, Maine.
Departures are scheduled in May and October 2018 aboard the Pearl Mist. Expert guides will lead guests on a journey punctuated by timeless towns, picturesque scenery and wildlife spotting—whale-watching and birdwatching among them.
Poseidon Expeditions
New from Poseidon Expeditions, is a 12-day adventure from Scotland Highlands to Arctic Glaciers. The June 2019 itinerary leaves from Leith (Edinburgh) and heads to Norway’s Longyearbyen (Spitsbergen). Along the way, guests will discover Skara Brae, Denmark’s Faroe Islands, Jan Mayen and the High Arctic wilderness of Svalbard.
Also new is a 12-day Best of the British Isles sailing in May and June 2019 from Plymouth, the UK along Scotland and Ireland to Leith (Edinburgh). Highlights encompass St. Kilda, Giant’s Causeway, Iona Abbey, Snowdonia National Park, Waterford crystal, Shetland ponies and a Highland distillery.

Variety Cruises
Variety Cruises tacked on two new destinations to its small-ship roster: the Eastern Mediterranean and Bali.
In the Eastern Mediterranean, a Gods, Kings, and Pharaohs itinerary will sail to Israel, Egypt and Jordan starting in November 2018. A Splendors of Egypt by Sea circuit will head to Egypt and Jordan beginning December 2018. A Bali one is scheduled for the Indonesian Archipelago during mid-2019.
God, Kings, and Pharaohs will cruise for eight days from Ashdod to Aqaba or six days from Ashdod to Hurghada. Highlights will include the Suez Canal, Coptic monasteries, Cairo, the Valley of the Kings, Red Sea, Hurghada and Gubal Island.
Splendors of Egypt by Sea will sail for eight days from Alexandria to Aqaba or six days from Alexandria to Hurghada. Locations will be similar to the previous itinerary but exclusive to Egypt and Jordan.
In Bali, guests will travel from Benoa Port to Rinca island for eight days and visit Satonda Island, Komodo National Forest on the Islands of Komodo and Rinca, Keramat Island and Moyo Island.
