Princess Cruises announced the largest casino ever built by
the cruise line would debut on the upcoming 4,300-guest Sun Princess, which
sets sail in February 2024.
Dubbed The Princess Casino, the facility will offer 50
percent more space and 30 percent more machines than Princess’ Royal Class
ships. The casino will boast high ceilings and a spacious floor plan for
world-class gaming comfort and entertainment.
The Princess Casino will be located on Deck 8 adjacent to
the Piazza, with passengers able to enjoy over 200 of the newest and most
popular slots and video poker games, as well as live table games offering
progressive jackpots.
In addition, the cruise line added several gaming positions to
the Piazza.
“Casino lovers, high rollers or simply those wanting to try
a hand during their vacation will be stunned by the new Princess Casino onboard
Sun Princess,” Princess President John Padgett said. “Princess has embraced the
casino experience and is proud to offer such exciting gaming surrounded by
absolutely world-class dining and entertainment.”
Princess offered additional details about the massive
casino, including the area encompassing nearly 9,000 square feet and featuring
10-foot ceilings, 227 slot machines, 13 live tables, the most comfortable
gaming seating, a high-limit slot area and an interactive audio-visual
experience.
Scheduled to debut in February 2024, Sun Princess is
currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy. The vessel
will offer an array of exciting new entertainment and culinary offerings, as
well as luxurious staterooms and suites across a broad spectrum of categories.
