With the goal of delivering award-winning sailing experiences
while making a positive environmental impact, Virgin Voyages is releasing its
2024 Impact
Report and unveiling new details about its Celebration Voyages.
Upcoming Celebration Voyages from Miami, Athens and Lisbon
will feature three of Virgin Voyages brand partners – Red Flower, Yellow Leaf
Hammocks and Intelligentsia Coffee, offering guests
behind-the-scenes workshops, hands-on demonstrations and opportunities to
connect with the founders and creators themselves.
"Our Celebration
Voyages are love letters to the places, people and passions that shaped who
we are," said Jamie Douglas, Director of Innovation and Immersive
Experiences. "We're thrilled to showcase these partnerships that unite
luxury with purpose, proving that memorable travel experiences can also be
mindful."
“Red Flower, Yellow Leaf Hammocks and Intelligentsia Coffee
– the masterminds behind some of the brand's signature onboard products.
Together they’ll offer rare behind-the-scenes workshops, hands-on
demonstrations and opportunities to connect with the founders and creators
themselves.
Botanical Bliss with Red Flower
Renowned for creating Virgin
Voyages' in-cabin bath and shower amenities, Red Flower founder Yael
Alkalay, and brand specialist Erin, will lead immersive workshops celebrating
Earth's flora and fauna.
During the one-hour workshops, attendees
will craft their own version of Virgin Voyages’ signature “Ocean” scent
creating an invigorating sea salt scrub or mix their own pre- and post-sun
botanical care treatment.
Weaving Change with Yellow Leaf Hammocks
Yellow Leaf Hammocks founders Joe Demin and Rachel Connors
bring their Thai master weavers onboard to shine a spotlight on Virgin Voyages’
iconic balcony hammocks, present in 83 percent of cabins. Each handcrafted
piece provides sustainable employment for artisans from rural Thai communities,
preserving traditional craft while creating economic opportunity.
Interactive workshops teach the ancient art of hammock
weaving. The one-hour class provides a rare opportunity to see firsthand how
the beautiful, durable hammocks are made, and connect more deeply with the
people, purpose and passion woven into every thread.
Brewing Better with Intelligentsia
Virgin Voyages' craft coffee partner, Intelligentsia Coffee, will feature coffee pro Justin Lacher, and guests can elevate their coffee game
with "Pour Overs with a View," featuring special-selection coffees
and learn what makes an exceptional cup.
Sessions transform ordinary coffee breaks into extraordinary
sensory journeys, revealing the stories, science, and sustainability practices
behind every perfect cup.
Jill Stoneberg, Senior Director of Social Impact and
Sustainability at Virgin Voyages, said, "These partnerships represent more
than just premium products – they're living examples of our belief that
business can be a force for good. Whether you're swaying in a hammock that
empowers rural communities, enjoying sensorial personal care amenities that are
all natural, or sipping coffee sourced with integrity, our 2025 Celebration
Voyages showcase everyday luxuries that are also creating a positive impact."
