We may not have flying cars or hoverboards, but Alaska Airlines is making damn sure we have pancake machines.
Jaunted spotted this YouTube video, featuring the newest toy to make its way into the Board Room lounge for Alaska Airlines in Seattle-Tacoma, Los Angeles, Anchorage and Portland airports:
As you can see, the pancake machine isn't just saliva-inducing, it would make for a far better protagonist in any future Terminator movies. It's a machine…that makes pancakes. The only thing better might be a machine that also tilts your head back as it force feeds you maple syrup.
Now we did throw our two pennies in on a story revolving around Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams recently, contending that nothing all that remarkable ever comes to airport lounges.
The 17-year-old took umbrage with British Airways when the airline didn't allow her to enjoy the convenience of their lounge area because she was an unsupervised minor. At the time, we offered lounges weren't exactly the party destinations that story might insinuate, rather a collection of adults trying to sleep in semi-comfortable chairs.
Well, we now have to change our thinking, because some of these lounges now have machines that spit out pancakes in the same way Jay-Z spits out rhymes.
The future is here, and it's a bright one, coming one delicious portion at a time.
