Disney is ending 2017 with a bang.
As part of the #ShareYourEars campaign over the holidays, the company raised an additional $1 million, bringing its total donation to the Make-A-Wish foundation to $2 million.
According to the Disney Parks blog, the company asked travelers and fans to share an image of their Mickey ears using #ShareYourEars on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, with Disney pledging $5 for every post up to $1 million.
For the second year in a row, Disney met its limit thanks to the help of people around the world and added another $1 million to its existing $1 million donation. The Make-A-Wish foundation grants the wishes of children and their families with critical illnesses.
In addition to many travelers sending inspirational messages using the hashtag this holiday season, several celebrities got in on the fun and helped spread the word:

Almost 9,000 Disney-related wishes are granted each year around the world through the Disney and Make-A-Wish Foundation partnership.
