Hyatt Hotels has announced a collaboration with Be Well designed to encourage and make it easier for guests to stay healthy amid their travels.

Started in 2012 by Dr. Frank Lipman and based in New York, Be Well is a proprietary brand of supplements, cleanses, wellness content and health coaching. Lipman is described as a functional medicine doctor whose career has blended both traditional and alternative methods.

The collaboration will kick off at Park Hyatt hotels in New York, Chicago and Washington, D.C.

The Park Hyatt Chicago will host Shred415 workout classes on site once a week, while the Park Hyatt New York will partner with the city's premier meditation studio, MNDFL, to host meditation classes for guests.

Eventually Hyatt's partnership with Be Well will extend to each of its brands on a global scale.

For guests, the collaboration will include healthy refreshments upon arrival, curated in-room amenities, enhanced fitness offerings, expanded menus and healthier alternatives for guests to snag while on the go.

"Our guests are embracing healthier lifestyles and are increasingly looking to integrate healthy habits into their travel experiences," said Hyatt's Global Chief Marketing Officer Maryam Banikarim in a statement. "Wellness is not a one-size-fits-all concept, and it can be difficult. We are committed to listening to our guests and giving them easier options to make the best choice for them."

Hyatt and Be Well will also partner on "Chef Workshops" designed to create more food and beverage options.

The company's collaboration with Be Well comes two years after it launched a global sustainable menu program designed to offer more nutritious options for guests.

Tips from Dr. Lipman

Thursday's announcement was accompanied by a handful of helpful travel tips from Be Well founder Dr. Lipman.

Since travel can easily knock hotel guests out of their regular routine, it's recommended they take probiotics and eat fermented foods like kimchi to keep their gut bacteria healthy.

When packing for a long journey, Dr. Lipman recommends travelers bring oregano oil and coconut oil. The former works wonders for your immune system, while the latter is extremely versatile and can be used for anything from sunburns to smoothies.

With summer in full swing, Dr. Lipman also encourages travelers to pack mineral-based sunscreen that won't clog their pores and lead to future problems.
