Getting toddlers and young kids to wear their sunhats isn't a struggle when the hats are adorned with pictures of the loveable guitar-playing Raggs and his musical friends.
The sunhats are part of a new resort wear clothing and accessories line that debuts this month at Grand Palladium Resorts in Mexico, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic. The new children's resort apparel line, which includes Raggs themed t-shirts, sun hats, swim suits, sun dresses and shorts in toddler and children's sizes, will be sold at Palladium stores throughout the resorts.
Raggs and friends are the centerpiece of the Play at Palladium with Raggs program that has helped make Palladium Hotels & Resorts properties a favorite for families at Palladium Hotels and Resorts' all- inclusive Grand Palladium beach properties in Mexico (Riviera Nayarit & Riviera Maya), Jamaica (Montego Bay) and the Dominican Republic (Punta Cana). Raggs, an Emmy award-winning TV series, stars a musical quintet of (costumed) puppies who perform catchy songs and stories that promote pre- academic skills and positive values. In the U.S. and Canada, the show airs in English on QUBO and in Spanish on Telemundo.
Thanks to a strategic alliance with Palladium Hotels & Resorts, these adorable characters lead Baby and Mini Club activities and events around the resorts, including Raggs-themed dance and sing-along parties like Pido's Surf Party, character breakfasts and Broadway-quality shows including the "Raggs Pirate Show" that performs weekly at all Resorts. The characters also delight kids by popping up unexpectedly around the resort for hugs, high-fives and impromptu sing-alongs.
"Raggs has been a great addition to our programming," said Ricardo Canales, Palladium Hotels & Resorts' Entertainment Manager for the Americas. "For many young kids and their families, the Raggs characters will always be an important part of their vacation memories. This clothing line can help rekindle those great vacation feelings every time the kids put on a Raggs t-shirt or sun dress no matter if they are at the Resort or at home."
Grand Palladium Resorts also cater to families with spacious suites and connecting rooms, kid-oriented buffets that clearly delineate special-diet menu items at all meals and a wide array of water and land sports for families to enjoy together. In addition to the Play at Palladium with Raggs program for younger children, there are age-tiered clubs and special facilities for kids up to 19 years of age.
