The Walt Disney World Resort has announced new events and
attractions for the 2024 edition of the EPCOT International Flower & Garden
Festival, running between February 28 and May 27.
At this year’s event, Disney horticulture cast members will
once again create topiaries featuring characters, and this time, with Groot from
the “Guardians of the Galaxy” trilogy making his debut.
Visitors can also witness new topiaries from the Walt Disney
Animation Studios film “Wish,” including Asha, Valentino and Star, at the
park’s main entrance. And in Mexico,
Miguel and Dante from Disney Pixar’s “Coco” take center stage.
A Princess Tiana topiary will also grace The American
Adventure pavilion. In total, more than 25 garden destinations are found
throughout the park.
For the foodies in the group, the International Flower &
Garden Festival will feature new food and drinks, including the Cubanito with
mojo-marinated pork belly, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and stone-ground mustard
sauce at Florida Fresh and the Key Lime Wine Slush at The Citrus Blossom.
EPCOT
will hose 18 festival-exclusive Outdoor Kitchens during the 2024 event. To
elevate the culinary exploration, travelers can participate in Garden Graze, a
food stroll highlighting flavors across the festival.
As for the interactive elements of the festival, Disney is
offering two seasonal scavenger hunts, Butterfly Landing presented by
AdventHealth, Blossoms of Fragrance presented by Scentsy, and Camp Get Out ‘N’
Play Garden Presented by OFF!
To cap it all off, the International Flower & Garden
Festival will welcome back the Garden Rocks concert series to the American
Gardens Theatre stage daily. The 2024 lineup includes newcomers like Modern
English, Crowder, Fonseca, Lit, and Monsieur Periné.
