The Walt Disney World Resort announced that the popular Country
Bear Musical Jamboree will debut on the Grizzly Hall stage on July 17.
The Country Bears are known as a staple of Frontierland in
Magic Kingdom Park at Disney World, where they have been entertaining visitors
with country-western songs for over 50 years.
Disney World has teamed up with several country music stars,
such as Mac McAnally, Emily Ann Roberts, Allison Russel, and Chris Thile, to
create a modern musical experience steeped in history.
As for the outfits designed for Country Bear Musical
Jamboree, the team at Disney Live Entertainment paid homage to the original
version of the musical attraction, while also adding a modern twist on the tradition.
Two of the bears, Wendell and Big Al, showed off their new
outfits as part of the announcement.
Earlier this year, Disney revealed that the Country
Bear Musical Jamboree will include easter eggs throughout the production,
including at least one familiar song that fans who appreciate the attraction
will remember.
The Country Bears will also sing new, reinterpreted Disney
tunes—such as the Jungle Book classic The Bare Necessities—in different country
music genres, including bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, rockabilly and more.
