Travel expert Mark Murphy returns this week with a brand new episode of the TravelPulse Podcast from Mexico.
This week, Murphy details his close encounter with Hurricane Michael, his jokes falling on deaf ears with TSA and Mexico's proactive approach to ensuring popular tourist areas remain safe before diving into the emotional support animal debate.
"This emotional support crap is just getting beyond ridiculous. It's becoming a farce," says Murphy, after a woman and her emotional support squirrel were recently removed from a Frontier Airlines flight. "I am all for emotional support animals and I understand why people need it but people are abusing this."

Later, Murphy reveals the latest example of why travelers should be working with a travel agent.
"When you're booking a dream trip and you're spending money you need to do it with a reputable company. You can validate these reputable companies by booking through a travel agent," he added. "If you decide to do it on your own, it's on you. There's no one to go back to get it corrected. That's why travel agents carry something called errors and omissions insurance. If they screw up, you're covered because they're covered."
Murphy also talks Caribbean cruises and why travelers should be lining up to book as hurricane season comes to an end before sharing some of the dumbest cruise questions real travelers have ever asked and reminding people to keep their shoes on when flying.
