Abercrombie & Kent is charting new waters with a riverboat in Peru, which is set to debut in April 2025 and will serve as the company’s first vessel in South America.
The riverboat, which the company referred to as a “floating boutique hotel” with a 1:1 guest-to-staff ratio, will house 10 double cabins and two single cabins with floor-to-ceiling windows.
The vessel, whose name has not yet been announced, will sail on three- and four- night cruises designed to showcase “the untamed beauty and diverse cultures of the Amazon,” Abercombie & Kent said, exploring the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve.
The itineraries, which will include highly immersive shore excursions, can be combined to create seven-night voyages, which sail on the Marañon and Ucayali rivers. Voyages will operate roundtrip from Nauta, which is in close proximately to Iquitos where the nearest airport is located.
The riverboat’s restaurant will provide guests with culinary offerings that pay homage to the Amazon’s culture and capitalize on local ingredients. The vessel will also include indoor and al fresco lounge and bar areas, an outdoor pool, a massage room and a gym.

Bookings for the itineraries open in June.
