Air France has taken in-flight entertainment to new heights with the launch of a strategic partnership with Apple TV, bringing premium streaming content to passengers across its long-haul network. As of January, travelers can enjoy over 45 hours of award-winning original programming, transforming the way they experience international travel.
The collaboration provides passengers with exclusive access to Apple TV's prestigious catalogue of hit series, documentaries and family-friendly content. Among the offerings are critically acclaimed shows such as "Ted Lasso," "The Morning Show" and "Severance," alongside French lifestyle programming like "Carême." Documentary enthusiasts can explore "Prehistoric Planet" and "The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy," while younger passengers are entertained with "WondLa" and "The Snoopy Show."
Air France has integrated the first three episodes of each series into a dedicated channel within its in-flight entertainment system. The content is accessible on individual seatback screens in both French and English, complete with subtitles and accessibility features for deaf and hard-of-hearing passengers. The airline plans to refresh the catalogue every two months, ensuring returning travelers always have new content to discover.
Beyond the seatback experience, Air France is extending the Apple TV benefit through its new high-speed wifi service. Passengers receive one week of complimentary access to Apple TV content via the airline's Wi-Fi portal, allowing them to continue watching favorite series on personal devices throughout the flight and even after landing. This innovative approach bridges the gap between in-flight and at-home entertainment.
The high-speed Wi-Fi service is being progressively deployed across Air France's entire fleet, including regional aircraft, with full implementation expected by year's end. The portal will soon feature enhanced content curated by both Air France and Apple TV, creating a bespoke trial experience available exclusively on board.
This partnership represents just one facet of Air France's comprehensive entertainment offering. Long-haul passengers have access to over 1,500 hours of on-demand content through high-definition screens, with the newest cabins featuring 4K anti-glare displays and Bluetooth connectivity. The airline's entertainment portfolio includes more than 310 films, exclusive partnerships with Canal+ and Apple TV, podcasts, destination guides, wellness programs and an interactive flight map.
Air France operates nonstop service between Phoenix and Paris-CDG with three weekly flights during the winter season, increasing to five weekly flights for spring and summer and daily service during peak summer periods.
