On Wednesday, a pilot program at Disney theme parks began which allows annual passholders to bypass the normal lines and enter the facilities via exclusive entrance gateways.
According to The Associated Press, the annual-passholders entrance will be available at all four Walt Disney World parks, including Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom.
While annual passholders will be able to bypass the entrance lines, they will still be forced to go through the security checkpoint with all of the other guests at the parks. This current caveat may change as Disney officials tweak the pilot program.
The exclusive annual passholders entrance pilot program is currently slated to run through January, but there has been no end date announced. Disney officials said the new entrance option is a thank you for guests who purchased the annual passes.
As Orlando Weekly reported, the exclusive lines for annual passholders have been tested at other theme parks including SeaWorld Orlando. Universal Orlando also used a temporary version of the program during Halloween Horror Nights in the past.
