Disney fans, assemble! It's been a trying 13 months for Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, but as vaccination rates continue to exceed targets and with the long-awaited reopening of Disneyland around the corner on April 30, there's almost too much excitement on tap at Disney parks and resorts and on Disney cruise ships around the world. Here's what Disney fans have to look forward to in the coming years.

Disneyland Is Finally Reopening

After being shuttered for more than 13 months, Disneyland Resort will finally reopen on April 30. The theme parks will initially be open only to California residents and a theme park reservation and valid ticket will both required to visit. Theme park reservations open up to existing ticket holders on April 12 and ticket sales open to all guests on April 15.

Disney's Grand Californian Resort & Spa is will be the first Disneyland hotel to reopen on April 29 with the Disney Vacation Club portion of the resort, the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Resort & Spa, reopening on May 2. Reservations for the hotel open on April 15.

Avengers Campus Opens June 4

Calling all heroes. Avengers Campus, a new Marvel-themed land, will open June 4 at Disneyland's Disney California Adventure Park. Comprised of several "heroic locations," each helmed by a legendary superhero, the land will bring an array of new attractions, dining, entertainment, and shopping opportunities to the park.

WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure Is Coming Soon

Tom Holland stars as Spider-Man in this all-ages attraction that lets guests put their web-slinging skills to good use. Peter Parker's Spider-Bots begin replicating out of control and Peter needs help wrangling them before chaos ensues. Next-level tech helps guests shoot webs just like their friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

Eat Like an Avenger

"Pym Particles" bring a playful edge to themed dining in Avengers Campus.

At Pym Test Kitchen, menu items get super-sized and shrunken in dishes like the Impossible plant-based large and micro meatballs with pasta. For adult beverages, just look for the giant beer can above Pym Tasting Lab.

MCU fans will love noshing on an Avenger favorite wrap at Schawarma Palace, which we're picturing as Avengers Campus' answer to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge's Ronto Roasters.

Visit Doctor Strange's Sanctum

So the story goes, a Stark Industries complex was built on the site of ancient ruins, revealed by Doctor Strange after centuries of concealment. Guests will meet Doctor Strange and witness his mystical abilities in this space that gets even more magical at night.

Disneyland Will Reopen With a New Take on a Classic Ride

Iconic Disneyland dark ride Snow White's Scary Adventures has been reimagined as Snow White's Enchanted Wish and will reopen with Disneyland park on April 30. New scenes, music, projections and other lighting effects promise to give this iconic attraction a magical update.

Disneyland Park Will Serve Alcohol In a Second Location

It was big news when Oga's Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opened in May of 2019 and become the first spot in the park's history to serve alcohol to the public. Disney has announced that guests will soon have a second spot where they can sip adult beverages within Disneyland Park. Blue Bayou Restaurant, the iconic New Orleans Square restaurant where guests dine in perpetual twilight as Pirates of the Caribbean boats float by, will begin serving wine, beer, and a specialty Hurricane Cocktail. Disney Cruise Line's Newest Ship Sets Sail Next Summer

Construction on the Disney Wish, the newest ship joining Disney Cruise Line's fleet, just reached a major milestone. The first section of the ship was lowered into the building-dock and as part of the traditional keel-laying ceremony, a newly minted coin was placed under the keel for good fortune. The coin features Captain Minnie Mouse, whose portrait will also be featured on the bow of the new ship, which is expected to set sail on its maiden voyage in the summer of 2022.

Disney Cruise Line Offers UK 'Staycation' Sailings This Summer

Disney Cruise Line is giving UK residents the chance to set sail aboard the Disney Magic this summer with two-, three-, and four-night "staycation" sailings roundtrip from UK ports. Passengers will remain on the ship throughout the voyage while experiencing Disney Cruise Line's signature dining, entertainment and recreation offerings.

Lighthouse Point Development Continues

Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa Continues to Bring Back Beloved Experiences

An authentic Hawaiian experience with a side of Disney magic, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, on the island of Oahu, is truly one for the bucket list. The resort reopened in November, but without a few of its most treasured offerings. KA WA'A - A Lu'au, a celebration of Hawaiian history, food, music, dance, and storytelling, has recently returned and is a can't-miss add-on to an Aulani vacation. Also returning to Aulani on May 7 is the character breakfast at Makahiki Restaurant, one of Disney's all-time best character meals.

Remy's Ratatouille Adventure Opens Oct. 1

As part of EPCOT's major multi-year transformation, EPCOT's France pavilion is getting an exciting expansion. The long-awaited new ride, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, and a new restaurant, Le Creperie de Paris, will both open on Oct. 1, 2021, helping to kick off Walt Disney world's 50th-anniversary celebration at EPCOT.

Harmonious - An Epic New Nighttime Spectacular

Creations Shop will take MouseGear's place and will feature large glass walls with lots of natural light, a Mickey Mouse mural, and an experience beyond just souvenir shopping. The 11-story, 595-room Toy Story Hotel will be located in front of Bayside Station on the Disney Resort line, making for an easy trip to both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Is Getting a Stunning Update

Work is moving along on refurbishments at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. The resort's main building, the Great Ceremonial House, is getting an extensive exterior reboot, with a new open-truss roof over the porte cochere and a major overhaul of the resort's Monorail station, with new wooden screens and tropical colors.

Hotel rooms at the resort are also getting a colorful refresh. The updated rooms feature details and characters from the film "Moana." Tile inspiration takes its cues from the sandy ocean floor and vibrant patterns evoke the tropics.

A Modern Update for a Classic Ride at Walt Disney World and Disneyland

An iconic opening-day attraction at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, Jungle Cruise is getting an overhaul, introducing new characters and scenes and a more inclusive storyline. At Walt Disney World, the ride will remain open as scenes are updated over the course of the next few months. Disneyland will reopen with Jungle Cruise closed temporarily.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Prepares to Blast Off

This is the hotel experience Star Wars fans have been looking for. Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is a two-night "space cruise" that will "launch" guests into space for an immersive experience aboard the Halcyon. Details, including a first look at rooms, continue to be revealed, with Disney's website stating that the experience will launch in 2021.

Shanghai Disneyland Celebrates 5 Years With a New Nighttime Spectacular

Shanghai Disney Resort kicked off its fifth anniversary on April 8 with a "Year of Magical Surprises!" celebration that includes the launch of "ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration," a new nighttime projection and fireworks show. The resort's upcoming "Zootopia"-themed land also reached a major milestone with the topping out of its main attraction.
